Embroidered Thangkas: Miaoyin Bodhisattva
(The Melodious-Voiced Bodhisattva)
妙音菩萨
Miaoyin Bodhisattva, also known as the “Lion’s Roar Bodhisattva,” is venerated for disseminating the Dharma through celestial music across the ten directions. Her divine voice remains in the ears of sentient beings, hence the name. This work features a black silk background and employs traditional Tibetan–Qiang relief embroidery techniques. With vibrant colors and distinct regional style, the piece depicts a Bodhisattva with a serene and majestic visage, surrounded by auspicious clouds—symbolizing blessings and spiritual joy.
