On November 16, 2022, the Tibetan Weaving and Embroidery Skills Enhancement Training Program officially launched at Sichuan Arts Vocational College. Jointly organized by the Heishui County Women’s Federation, Sichuan Arts Vocational College, and the Yang Huazhen Tibetan-Qiang Embroidery Studio, the training program aims to promote the living heritage of Tibetan and Qiang textile traditions, enhance women’s handicraft skills, and contribute to long-term rural revitalization efforts in Heishui County.

The program is designed to address the practical needs of rural revitalization, focusing on local women who already possess a basic knowledge of traditional handicrafts and wish to further develop their skills. The curriculum includes training in legal rights, traditional Tibetan weaving and embroidery techniques, and hand-embroidery artistry. Special emphasis is placed on creative innovation in intangible cultural heritage and the development of Tibetan-Qiang cultural products.

Supported by the professional expertise of the college and Master Yang Huazhen’s team, the project is dedicated to establishing a platform that integrates skills training, employment support, and entrepreneurship incubation, enabling the precious Tibetan and Qiang culture to flourish with new vitality in modern production.
